OW-Pro

The Itron�� OpenWay��� architecture provides for a smart metering system with advanced communications. One of Itron�۪s first platform offerings to take advantage of this OpenWay Integrated Circuit (OWIC-204) is a communications stack that makes for a ZigBee Pro compliant platform. The communications stack is our OpenWay Pro communications stack (OW-PRO). This communications platform is part of our OpenWay Centron meter and will be seen in other product offerings. The OpenWay communications infrastructure requires considerable processing power so Itron has developed an integrated circuit that includes the radio and enough processing power to support communications applications into the future.
